In 2016, our IndieGogo campaign raised over $86,000 (137% of our goal!), and we brought the front upper-half of the plane to Burning Man.
The 747 touches down on playa during Early Man
During the day, the plane was a place of personal transformation. Pass through the Insecurity Checkpoint, leave your worries at the Emotional Baggage Check, get your flight wings at the Departures window. Kick back in the cockpit, relax on our fuzzy sofas, take shelter from the harsh desert weather. After sundown, the plane transformed into a dance floor.
Music from sunset to sunrise
This year, we bring the rest of the upper section of the plane. The fuselage on playa will literally double in size.

“This is OUR art project. We want EVERYONE to know our story and see the love that’s gone into creating the incredibly special experience we’re cultivating on and off the playa And we’re going bigger in 2017.”

“Four decades after ‘Hot August Night,’ Neil Diamond delivers a career retrospective from the same stage that launched his into the stratosphere.
“As one of the most popular live performers in the world, Neil Diamond has a lot of venues he can call his own, but only one he can truly call home: L.A.’s Greek Theatre. As the story goes, and the new 40th anniversary edition of Hot August Night confirms, in 1972, Diamond was on the verge of superstardom. He needed one major signature event to make the leap and the multi-platinum Hot August Night, recorded at the Greek on August 24, 1972, became that transcendent moment. After that date, Neil Diamond became an icon.”

“For more than a few people who tuned into Sunday night’s Super Bowl, the halftime performance was more exciting than the football.
“This is because Lady Gaga, who headlined the event, by all accounts stole the show, delivering what many have called the best halftime show in the history of the Super Bowl.”

“Gaga mainly sang the choruses from her hit songs but when it came to her 2011 hit, ‘Born This Way,’ she again offered another clear message of acceptance by choosing to sing lyrics from a verse towards the end of the song: ‘No matter gay, straight, or bi, Lesbian, transgendered life/I’m on the right track baby/I was born to survive.’
“Gaga has long been outspoken on the issue of LGBTQ rights, and the presence of Vice President Mike Pence in the audience at the game may have played a role in that message.”

“Russell Wilson hosted the show at the Pauley Pavilion at the University of California, Los Angeles, while Kobe Bryant took home the Legend Award and Stephen Curry won for Clutch Player of the Year. There were competitive games featuring some of the biggest names in sports and even a little dance-off that included the moves of none other than Ciara!”
